National Lutheran Schools Week

January 26–30

We are excited to celebrate National Lutheran Schools Week at Emmanuel-Faith Lutheran School and Little Blessings Preschool! This special week is a time to give thanks for Lutheran education and to celebrate our school through worship, music, service, and community. Below you will find details for the students in K-8; Miss Libby will be sharing specific details for the preschoolers connected to our week-long fun.

ALL WEEK LONG (January 26–30), students may participate in a Penny War fundraiser.

🪙 Penny Wars – All Week

  • Students may bring in coins or bills throughout the week to support one of the organizations we serve through chapel offerings or another local community group.

  • Pennies and bills count as positive points for the class jar they are placed in.

  • Silver coins (nickels, dimes, quarters, etc.) count as negative points for the class jar they are placed in.

  • Students may choose which class jar to donate to—sometimes that means helping their own class, and sometimes it means playfully sabotaging another class (often a sibling’s class or the current leader!).

  • Daily point totals will be shared, so classes can see how the standings change throughout the week.

  • The winning grade(s) will work with Mr. Wellmann to help decide how the raised funds will be shared.

  • Classes that participate and/or donate the most may earn daily surprise rewards, such as:

    • Special treats

    • Extra recess

    • Movie days

    • Other fun surprises

This is an optional, lighthearted way for students to practice generosity and enjoy some friendly competition during National Lutheran Schools Week.
