Dear Families and Staff,
Recently, our lunch program was reviewed by the Nebraska Department of Education. Overall, the review when extremely well, for which we are very thankful to our devoted, hardworking kitchen staff.
During this process, the review team informed us that we needed to change our lunch options and the way we serve them. Therefore, beginning on March 2nd, there will only be one option offered as an alternative to the main entree. This option will be offered every day. The option includes: a 4oz individual yogurt, a 1 oz cheese stick, and a 2oz bread/grain item.
These option items will be served by our kitchen staff in the kitchen area; there will no longer be option proteins (yogurt, cottage cheese, etc.) available for self-serve on the salad bar. Milk, hot vegetable, and salad bar are still available to those who sign up for the option.
