
Emmanuel-Faith Lutheran School is seeking a part-time vocal music teacher for the 2024-2025 School Year to work with K-8 students on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Applicants should have or be eligible for a Nebraska teaching certificate, with preference given to those with a Lutheran Teacher Diploma. Candidates must align with our mission of nurturing disciples of Christ and promoting values such as spiritual awareness, critical thinking, physical well-being, social responsibility, emotional intelligence, and an appreciation for God's creation. Ashley's journey to our school has been marked by resilience and faith! After teaching for 4 years at Hampton Lutheran School, she answered the call to join our community when the doors sadly closed at her previous school.
In her family life, Ashley finds joy in her husband, Jacob, their one-year-old daughter, Kendall, and their loyal, furry companion, Arthos. Jacob's commitment to serving as a full-time member of the York Fire Department while working towards his paramedic license reflects the family's spirit of dedication and service to others. 👨👩👧🐾

The EFL School Carnival is just under a month away! The event is set for Sunday, March 17 from 3:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m. at the Holthus Event Center.
The Cake Walk is back.... with a twist. It's now a Goodie Walk! Examples include, but not limited to:
Baked goods - homemade or store bought. If a baked good is absent an allergen (e.g. nuts, dairy, gluten) please label.
Chips (with or without dips, salsa, etc.)
Snack Mix
Twinkies
Popcorn
Movie candy

👋 Let's extend a warm welcome to Miss Salcedo, our 3rd-grade teacher at Emmanuel-Faith! Since the Fall of 2022, Hailey has been spreading the joy of learning and discovery to our young learners. 📚✨
What does Hailey love most about her role? It's the genuine conversations and shared passions with her students, where learning goes both ways! Every day brings new insights and inspiration. 🌈💡
Hailey's journey to teaching began at York College (now York University), where she learned of our opening while student teaching with us. Since then, she's poured her heart into shaping young minds, bringing energy and dedication to her classroom every day. 🎓🍎
Outside of school, Hailey finds happiness in her loving family, including her parents, Marla and Joseph Salcedo; her four siblings; and their adorable puppy! Originally from Omaha, Hailey's roots run deep, with connections to Giltner and Grand Island. She also found love at York University, where she met her fiancé on the soccer team. With future in-laws in York, they're building a life filled with love and laughter. 💕🏡

👋 Let's give a warm round of applause to Sandra, our talented Music Teacher at Emmanuel-Faith! Since 2019, she has been nurturing musical talent in our students. 🎶🎹
What does Sandra love most about her role? It's the students and witnessing their musical progress that brings her the greatest joy. From their first notes to their grand performances, Sandra cherishes every step of their musical journey. Student success is measured by students' continued progress in learning more about the art of music and its importance in our lives, especially in worship. ✝️🎵
Beyond her role at Emmanuel-Faith, Sandra serves as a part-time organist at First United Methodist Church and piano accompanist for Chancel Choir at Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson. She also teaches private piano lessons to many young learners. 🎹🎶
In her family life, Sandra finds joy in spending time with her husband, three grown daughters, their spouses, and their wonderful grandchildren (with another on the way!). They cherish family time and love traveling, especially to visit relatives in Tennessee. 🏡✈️

What does Brian love most about his role? It's the joy of introducing 5th graders to new concepts, especially how our faith intertwines with every aspect of life. From math to history, Brian shows how faith impacts it all! 🌟
Brian's journey to teaching has been a testament to his faith and perseverance. Starting as a custodian at Emmanuel, he felt the call to become a teacher. With a degree from CUNE and years of experience at various schools, Brian brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to his classroom. 🎓🍎
