As the fall sports close out, basketball isn't far behind. Emmanuel & Faith church league basketball is open to the following individuals:
- Any member of Emmanuel and Faith congregations;
- Any student who attends Emmanuel-Faith Lutheran School; and
- Any homeschool student.
Please note, if a student plays on a public school team during the same academic year, he/she is not permitted to play for this team. However, participation on a non-school sponsored team (i.e. club team) does not preclude participation for E-F.
A team for boys and a team for girls will be sponsored. The teams will play other church league teams in the area. Traditionally, participation has included students aged for grades 5-8.
A parent/guardian meeting will be held on Monday, November 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. The first date of practice will be Monday, November 13. At this time, girls will practice from 3:15-4:30 and boys will practice from 4:30-5:45. Practice times are subject to change.
Participants are required to have a physical, and cleared for participation, within the last year prior to being permitted to practice.
There is not a participation fee. Emmanuel Lutheran Church incurs the costs of officials and tournament fees. In addition, 45 new uniforms for the boys and girls have been ordered. If you are moved to support this program financially, the church appreciates your generosity. Any donation can be directed to Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
