We didn't have school, but it's still Wendy's Night! Grab some supper and take a break from cooking and help support the school! We earned $300.25 in February and $300.48 in March!

Emmanuel-Faith will have a Late Start at 10 am on Tuesday, March 26th. Buses will run accordingly. There will be no morning class at Little Blessings, and the afternoon class will be at the regular times. Stay warm and safe! ❄️❄️❄️

🌟Meet Lisa Rasmussen🌟 Mrs. Rasmussen has been shaping young minds in 2nd Grade at Emmanuel-Faith since the fall of 2018, bringing her passion for teaching and nurturing children's faith journey. 📚 What brings Lisa the most joy in her role? It's the privilege of teaching children about Jesus and witnessing their growth. Lisa finds immense satisfaction in seeing her students' eyes light up when they make connections in their learning—those "light bulb moments" truly make her day! 💡 Lisa's career path has led her through various teaching roles, spanning eight and a half years in Colorado and four years in Lincoln before finding her place here. With experience teaching first through fifth grade students, she's found that second grade is a particularly rewarding place to be. 🏫 Lisa shares her home with her husband Eric, who teaches at York High School. 🌟Meet Brad Wellmann🌟 👋 Let's give a warm welcome to Mr. Wellmann, our dedicated Principal at Emmanuel-Faith and Little Blessings! Since 2018, he's been leading our school with wisdom and grace. 🎓🍎 What does Brad love most about his position? It's the opportunity to interact with students, families, and staff, and that every day brings new challenges and blessings; and Brad embraces each moment with a smile, hoping to share God's Word along the way. 🌟📚 With 21 years of experience in education, Brad brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to his role. He spent 15 years in the Bellevue Public Schools system, including roles as a 4th Grade Teacher and Principal. 🎓📝 In his family life, Brad cherishes his roots as a "farm boy" growing up near Waco. His parents and grandma still live on the family farms, keeping him connected to his upbringing. Mr. Runge did an excellent job as 2nd Grade Teacher for a Day last week with Mrs. Rasmussen! He demonstrated his physical skills in PE and had no problem with technology in the classroom. He even co-taught with the principal, Mr. Wellmann :) #Believe2023 #TeamEF

A Very Special Thank You to each and everyone who helped in both big and small ways with the School Carnival. It was a wonderful event and the kids seemed to enjoy themselves! We appreciate all the parents that helped set-up, clean-up, run the games, concession stand, face painting, and ticket sales. Thank you to Laurel Uhler for putting on a great raffle and to all of those families and businesses that donated raffle prizes. Thank you to the local businesses that helped provide the treats for the goodie bags. Thank you to the craftsmen that built and painted the carnival games. A huge shout out to the carnival chairs Steve and Laurie Ragoss and Nate and Miranda Beck. They did a fabulous job with creating and organizing the carnival this year! 🌟 Meet Reverend Ben J. Francisco🌟 Pastor Ben has been leading our supporting congregation at Faith Lutheran Church since October 2020. He also brings his passion for spiritual growth and community building to our 8th grade confirmation classes, chapel services, and staff retreats. 🙏 What does he love most about his role? It's witnessing the spiritual, academic, and personal growth among the students, especially his own boys. 📚 His career journey began with aspirations of becoming a high school math teacher. However, his path took a turn towards theology and Biblical studies during his time at Concordia University in Irvine, CA. Despite academic challenges, he persevered through seminary education, guided by God's grace and support from his community. He served congregations in Brady, Texas, and Grant, Nebraska, before joining us in York. 🏫 Pastor Ben is married to Elisa, who works at Baer's Furniture with a degree in Interior Design. Together, they have two sons, Elijah and Michael, as well as their beloved family dog, Sasha. He also serves his community as a volunteer firefighter. 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦🐾🔥 Let's express our gratitude to Rev. 🌟Meet Zach Rivera 🌟 Let’s greet Mr. Zach, our talented Head Cook, who has been delighting our students' taste buds since October 2019!  What does Zach love most about his role? It's the joy of cooking and introducing our students to new culinary delights. He knows he has achieved success when the students or staff say they love the delicious meals he prepares. 🍽️🍳 Zach's career path didn't involve any formal training; instead, his passion for cooking was nurtured by watching his mom and grandma in the kitchen. 👩‍🍳 In his family life, Zach is a proud father of three and has celebrated 20 blissful years of marriage to his Russian beauty, Lena. The school carnival is just four days away! Tickets for games and other fun will be for sale today through Friday after school from 3:15-3:45 near the lunchroom. The tickets are 5 for $1 during the week, and at the event, the tickets will be 4 for $1. Games will take from 1-4 tickets to play. Each E-F and Little Blessings student will receive 15 complimentary tickets. Also, remember to get your snack or baked goods for the Goodie Walk. Please bring the goodie to the event on Sunday or take it to the Fellowship Hall at Emmanuel on Friday. See you Sunday from 3:00-5:30 at the Holthus!
