A Very Special Thank You to each and everyone who helped in both big and small ways with the School Carnival. It was a wonderful event and the kids seemed to enjoy themselves! We appreciate all the parents that helped set-up, clean-up, run the games, concession stand, face painting, and ticket sales. Thank you to Laurel Uhler for putting on a great raffle and to all of those families and businesses that donated raffle prizes. Thank you to the local businesses that helped provide the treats for the goodie bags. Thank you to the craftsmen that built and painted the carnival games. A huge shout out to the carnival chairs Steve and Laurie Ragoss and Nate and Miranda Beck. They did a fabulous job with creating and organizing the carnival this year! Also, thank you to Mr. Wellman, who is always ready and willing to help in any role or area that we need him too. We greatly appreciate all the support from for the Emmanuel-Faith School! 🌟 Meet Reverend Ben J. Francisco🌟 Pastor Ben has been leading our supporting congregation at Faith Lutheran Church since October 2020. He also brings his passion for spiritual growth and community building to our 8th grade confirmation classes, chapel services, and staff retreats. 🙏 What does he love most about his role? It's witnessing the spiritual, academic, and personal growth among the students, especially his own boys. 📚 His career journey began with aspirations of becoming a high school math teacher. However, his path took a turn towards theology and Biblical studies during his time at Concordia University in Irvine, CA. Despite academic challenges, he persevered through seminary education, guided by God's grace and support from his community. He served congregations in Brady, Texas, and Grant, Nebraska, before joining us in York. 🏫 Pastor Ben is married to Elisa, who works at Baer's Furniture with a degree in Interior Design. Together, they have two sons, Elijah and Michael, as well as their beloved family dog, Sasha. He also serves his community as a volunteer firefighter. 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦🐾🔥 Let's express our gratitude to Rev. 🌟Meet Zach Rivera 🌟 Let’s greet Mr. Zach, our talented Head Cook, who has been delighting our students' taste buds since October 2019!  What does Zach love most about his role? It's the joy of cooking and introducing our students to new culinary delights. He knows he has achieved success when the students or staff say they love the delicious meals he prepares. 🍽️🍳 Zach's career path didn't involve any formal training; instead, his passion for cooking was nurtured by watching his mom and grandma in the kitchen. 👩‍🍳 In his family life, Zach is a proud father of three and has celebrated 20 blissful years of marriage to his Russian beauty, Lena. When he's not tantalizing taste buds, you'll find him strumming his guitar, leading worship, or perfecting the art of outdoor meat smoking. 🎸🥩 Let's give a round of applause to Zach for infusing our school with delicious meals and spreading joy through his culinary prowess! 👏👨‍🍳 #MeetOurTeam #TeamEF #SchoolLunch

The school carnival is just four days away! Tickets for games and other fun will be for sale today through Friday after school from 3:15-3:45 near the lunchroom. The tickets are 5 for $1 during the week, and at the event, the tickets will be 4 for $1. Games will take from 1-4 tickets to play. Each E-F and Little Blessings student will receive 15 complimentary tickets. Also, remember to get your snack or baked goods for the Goodie Walk. Please bring the goodie to the event on Sunday or take it to the Fellowship Hall at Emmanuel on Friday. See you Sunday from 3:00-5:30 at the Holthus!

🌟 Introducing Denise Blum🌟 Denise is an integral part of our team as a Kitchen Assistant. Since October 2020, she has been bringing warmth and care to our kitchen operations. 🍽️ What brings Denise the most joy in her role? It's the opportunity to interact with all the friendly faces who truly care about others every day, creating a sense of community and support. 😊 Denise's career journey has been one of searching and rediscovery. After working with middle school kids for 13 years and then a short time with York County, she felt lost. However, when she saw the notice for kitchen help at Emmanuel-Faith, she knew it was her calling. The opportunity to help people every day reignited her soul and gave her purpose. 🙏 In her family life, Denise resides with her husband, Rupert, in Waco, Nebraska, where they farm and care for Denise's mother's affairs. Together, they cherish the time spent with their three grandchildren, finding fulfillment in family bonds and caring for their loved ones. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Let's express our gratitude to Denise for her dedication to serving others and for bringing her warmth and compassion to our community every day! 💬🍲 #MeetOurTeam #TeamEF

🌟 Meet Jannese Steider🌟 Jannese has been guiding and inspiring our 8th graders for 4 years, bringing her passion for teaching and nurturing their faith journey since the fall of 2020. 📚 Jannese cherishes the incredible growth she witnesses in her students' faith throughout the year, as they navigate the challenges and triumphs of adolescence.  Jannese's career path has been marked by her unwavering dedication to teaching. She has been a Lutheran school teacher in Ohio, California, Kansas, and Nebraska. Following a decade-long hiatus from teaching, during which she worked for B&R Stores in Lincoln, a divine encounter with Pastor Mike during C-Club led her back to the classroom in York; a God-sent opportunity to return to her true calling. 🏫 At home in York, Jannese finds companionship in Tobi, her beloved beagle. She cherishes moments with her parents, brother, and his family in Lincoln; and she plans to celebrate her nephews’ graduations very soon- Jason from Lincoln Lutheran in May and Dylan from UNL in December. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🐾 Let's express our gratitude to Jannese for her commitment to shaping the hearts and minds of our 8th graders and for her unwavering dedication to their spiritual and academic growth! 💬🎓 #MeetOurTeam #TeacherLife #TeamEF

Come one, come all to the annual EFLS PTL Carnival! We hope you join us for an afternoon of fun and fellowship March 17th, 3-5:30pm at the Holthus Convention Center. Each student will get 15 tickets to spend and additional tickets can be purchased after school or at the event.

It's the joy of witnessing students mature not only in their studies but also in their love for God. 🙏 Cindy's career path is a testament to her dedication to serving others. After years as a stay-at-home mom and running a daycare, she found fulfillment as a paraeducator at Friend Public School for 18 years. Following a move to York, Cindy took a brief hiatus before feeling called back to the rewarding work of supporting students. 🏫 In her family life, Cindy finds immense joy in her three sons, daughters-in-law, and six beautiful grandchildren. 🌟 Meet Norah! 🌟 Norah embarked on her journey with us at our Preschool Aide at Little Blessings in August 2022, marking her second school year with our littlest learners. 📚 What ignites Norah's passion in her role? It's the sheer delight of learning and growing alongside each of her preschoolers, watching as they blossom and develop day by day. 🌱 Norah's path in early childhood education began with her pursuit of an associate's degree in early childhood from CCC in 2019. Her hands-on experience spans three years at York General Childcare Center and a year and a half at York Elementary School, honing her skills and nurturing her passion for guiding young minds. 🎓 In her family life, Norah finds joy and companionship in her furry friend, Felix. Emmanuel-Faith Lutheran School is seeking a part-time vocal music teacher for the 2024-2025 School Year to work with K-8 students on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Applicants should have or be eligible for a Nebraska teaching certificate, with preference given to those with a Lutheran Teacher Diploma. Candidates must align with our mission of nurturing disciples of Christ and promoting values such as spiritual awareness, critical thinking, physical well-being, social responsibility, emotional intelligence, and an appreciation for God's creation.
